Item 7: Initial Investment

There is an initial franchise fee of just $100.00. An approved existing restaurant may take on the name of Freakie Fries by agreeing to adopt the menu items, acquiring the necessary equipment ( if they don’t already have it) , acquiring the signs and identifying décor,and paying the monthly fees.

Someone who is starting from scratch, will invest much the same as he would have on his/her own, except that the items purchased would be according to Freakie Fries specifications.

I cannot at this time offer you any cost estimates and since I am seeking only experienced restaurant people at this time and in fact, they could probably tell me a thing or two about costs.

In the beginning, only experienced restaurant people will be allowed to join. In time, when Freakie Fries will be up and running, The Freakie Fries Franchise Association will set up the training programs along with exact cost estimates that a less experienced restaurant person could then use to help him/her succeed.

An already existing restaurant will incur the cost of the sign and some décor, changing the menu to include the Freakie Fries items. The décor can be done over a period of one year.

Mandatory equipment will so far include:

-Purple Plexiglas (or tinting) on the windows for that Freakie Fries effect;

-a hot dog and bun steamer which is also used for the smoked-meat;

-an old style jukebox with music from 1973 and before, playing free and other music available where people may purchase.

Optional equipment will include:

-a bumper pool table

-an old style pong video game

Just as not all McDonald’s have a playground, so it is that not all Freakie Fries will offer the exact same items and yet, it will be such that one will know that they are at a Freakie Fries establishment. The menu will be consistent however.

There will be a noticeable distinction between Freakie Fries Express and Freakie Fries Deluxe, where one could be recognized from the other. Being that Freakie Fries Deluxe is a full service restaurant and bar as opposed to Freakie Fries Express being a fast food restaurant. This will be so as to not confuse the customer, even though both styles of restaurants will have some common décor and ambience.

But, for example, Express and Deluxe will be prominent on the signage to help the customer distinguish one from the other. We should seek other distinguishing ways to eliminate confusion and I am open to suggestions from the franchisees on this and any other matter.

The spirit of a Freakie Fries franchisee will be such that the ambience that these changes will make will contribute to our Unique Selling Advantage and so he/she should look forward to these décor adjustments as they progress on their establishment.

It is my hope that the franchisees that join Freakie Fries will get caught up in the enthusiasm about their association because they are the co-franchisors as well.

Freakie Fries will have a range of possibilities within which to operate.

On the smaller side of the spectrum, Freakie Fries Express may be a kiosk in a food court, sharing an eating area with other fast food concepts, such as what may be found at shopping malls, travel centers, arenas, and so on.

One step up from that, Freakie Fries Express may occupy a storefront as part of a strip shopping center and may have the corner store so as to offer a drive-thru for added convenience to the customer.

One further step up from this, Freakie Fries Express may occupy a stand-alone building.

Beyond that, Freakie Fries Deluxe will be a full service restaurant and bar, similar in concept to existing establishments such as Applebee’s, Chili’s, or Outback Steak House, and also can be part of a strip shopping center, inside a shopping mall, or occupy a stand-alone building.

I am the only person in Freakie Fries until I get some co-franchisor/franchisees.

As of this writing, the only assets of Freakie Fries are the trademark. I filed for federal registration of the Freakie Fries name in May,2002, under the category of restaurant franchising and in June,2002, under the category of clothing wear.

There are no buildings, and we will probably start by renting space and growing as needed.

As you can see, this is not even a ground floor opportunity…were still digging out the footings!

But please don’t concern yourself with where Freakie fries is. Instead look to where it is going, so if this concept appeals to you, come and grow with The Freakie Fries Franchise Association...Where you are a co-franchisor along with all the other franchisees.
