 8: Restriction on Sources of Products and Services

Along with the usual equipment, an existing restaurant must acquire (if they don’t already have:)

-a steamer for the hot dogs and buns and the smoked-meat;

-purple plexiglass or tint for the windows

-deep fryers

Here is the sign logo...This will be made into a flag, among other ways,  which can be hung outside and inside the Freakie Fries establishment.

All the ingredients are locally accessible with the exception of the ‘Montreal-Style’ smoked-meat which will be special ordered, or prepare our own, the recipe of which should be easily acquired.

Permit me to look ahead here.

Perhaps, it may be determined, that having our own prep facilities for the entire franchise, would be the way to go. I’ve got a feeling that it is. But for now, in the beginning, we’ll rely on local suppliers.

Please remember that no matter what, Freakie Fries is a buyer’s co-op for all the franchisees to take advantage of. There will be no profit-making at the supplier level, should we go that route, and so, many of the items may end up being made on our own.

The quality-control and consistency advantage in this is obvious.

Furthermore, Freakie Fries will be owned by the co-franchisors as shareholders in whatever assets are accumulated, such as buildings and equipment. If Freakie fries needs a new building, an in-house bond offering could be established so that we could be totally self-financed. That’s a very good place to be! These shares are kept within the Freakie Fries Franchise Association and the value  is for hard assets only such as real estate buildings, and equipment. A leaving franchisee will have the option of keeping or selling his accumulated shares by auction to the highest bidder within the Freakie Fries Association. Each share holds a vote so that remaining franchisees will want to buy them.

There is actually no value in an ex-franchisee keeping the shares except for waiting for a right time to sell them to get the most value for them.

 Beyond these thoughts, Freakie Fries has no required specifications, designated suppliers, or approved suppliers for goods, services or real estate relating to your franchise business. Freakie Fries will not derive revenue from your purchases or leases.

So, get that old lava lamp back out of the attic, (yeah, I know you kept it) dust it off and join the Freakie Fries Franchise Association and grow with us.
